For several years Mark Morgan, President of The Morgan Landscape Group, has been driving Route 8 for Friendship Trays, delivering meals to homebound and elderly individuals. Friendship Trays is Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s primary meals-on-wheels program, and their mission is to deliver nutritious meals to elderly or infirm individuals in the Charlotte community who are unable to obtain or prepare their own meals while also providing human connection to the isolated and lonely and peace of mind to their families.
“I have a great amount of respect for this organization and the work they do,” Mark says, and when he saw the opportunity to help give back, he acted. He began by asking Executive Director Lucy Bush Carter if she was interested in The Morgan Landscape Group volunteering their services for a fresh look for this spring. She readily and happily agreed.
Our staff, led by Account Manager Casey Wattinne, worked on cleaning out the beds of overgrown material, weed removal, and mulching.
“It feels great to give our time doing what we are best at, making outdoor spaces beautiful and inviting!” Casey says. “Now with the love and care of our people we were able to make it shine, just like the volunteers for Friendship Trays.”
The Morgan Landscape Group, happy to partner with Friendship Trays, is pleased to give back to an organization that gives so much.
